Garden through the windows

November rain on the window windy rainy days autumn leaves on the grass red berries aitumn garden colours garden pots rainy November day garden books
Today I have avoided the garden despite the jobs stacking up:

spring bulbs to be planted
borders to be tidied
toys to go away into the shed
red currant bush to be dug up and relocated to the allotment
pruning of overgrown shrubs and a whole lot more clearing up.

It's so cold and wet and I just can't bring myself to go squelching around my little back garden, getting caught in yet another rain shower. We need some cold, sunny days now so I can venture out there for a while. Let's not even mention the (ahem) allotment (ahem)......

So today, I gazed at the garden and its deepening autumnal colours through the rain soaked windows and had a look through my garden books instead. Even the dogs weren't keen on going out so we toasted our feet and paws by the fire and though of crisp frosty days - I hear they may be on their way ........

Really love your rainy window photos! We have the cold, sunny days at the moment, but I still haven't got round to planting my bulbs yet :) #HowDoesYourGardenGrow?

yikes, plenty of jobs to be getting on with then! at the moment our garden is wild and free, once we've finished the house we'll make a proper start on that! lovely photos through your windows and lots of lovely colours in your garden too! x

Lovely shots - really captured the essence of the past week, rain rain and more rain. If it helps I can't be fudged to do much outside either at the moment - apart from the run down to the end of the garden to gather logs for the fire, I can always make time for that ;)

Good weather for warm cups of tea and a read of a good book or 3 ey?

Thanks ever so much for sharing these ace photos and joining in x

Oh, dear! Sometimes, you just have to wait. Lucky that you have those gardening books to keep you company!

I love the first shot, then the second of the rain - like hah! you really think I'm going out to plant shrubs in that? Not me! I don't blame you. I would be by the fire too.

I don't think I would have gone outside either, you got some lovely photos.

Love the rainy window shot! And the view from above! We are squelching in our garden too and the grass is taking on it's usual Glastonbury-like look!
