Still using the pumpkins up, lots of varieties lining the kitchen window sill. This weekend I made a munchkin pumpkin stew with Quorn and threw in some tomatoes, chillies, baked beans and peppers. A complete mish mash but it was very tasty with a dollop of plain yoghurt and some roasted pumpkin seeds on top.

The plaque I found on a car boot sale for 50p, handmade and I have absolutely no idea what the picture is all about? It looks a bit South American to me - what do you think? I like it though, it's unusual and the sort of knick-knack that I like to collect on my travels.

There's a tendency to just associate pumpkins with early autumn but when you have grown them and have a glut, they really can last through to January and beyond if kept cool. This week I'm going to make a pumpkin pie - the first of the season for me.
Do you have any good pumpkin recipes as I may be exhausting my usual list of options. I have some huge pumpkins that are seriously going to take a week's worth of meals to use up just one.
