Late summer home style

On sunny days, it's nice to have a little shade and relaxation in the house. For a bit of summer peace, here are some ideas for a blissful living area:

Create a sitting room that is a calm haven. Let the sunlight filter through window blinds.
Vision Blinds produce made to measure options from Venetian to Roman blinds, perfect for shading or some privacy whilst having a little afternoon siesta.

Faded tones give tranquillity and restfulness to a room. Pair neutral tones with pretty, delicate fabrics that add texture. I love white furniture as it creates a light and airy room, gorgeous in late summer sun. Contrasting green house plants add to the peaceful feel.

Or even introduce some bright pops of colour into a neutral scheme. Summer is fun and even when I'm winding down I like some cheerful hues in my gaze. Add accents with cushions, candles or even an painted upcycled piece of furniture.

Surround yourself with the items that you love. Nothing creates a calmer feeling than feeling at home and being yourself. So those prints that you adore, the family photos and the trinkets you picked up on that summer's afternoon at the vintage market, beautiful items that inspire you all deserve a space in your room.
