Father's Day weekend

We had such a busy weekend from going to Peterborough Heritage Festival to visiting my Dad for whom not only was it Father's Day but it was also his birthday on the same day. Lucky Dad.


I took him his usual bottle of whisky and some chocolate brownies that I had made with mix supplied in a gorgeous Kilner jar from Silver Mushroom who sell lots of lovely Kitchenware. I'll be using the Kilner jar for pickling some of our allotment produce in over the summer.

My chocolate brownies turned out ok aside from burning what was supposed to be the white chocolate drizzle - oh well! They still tasted really good and I'll given them another try in future.
