Lovely sweetie jars

I love sweetie jars. Rows of jars in sweet shops filled with strawberry bon bons, flying saucers or marshmallows. Jars in coffee shops filled with double chocolate chip cookies and those chunky smartie biscuits. I can look at them for ages in satisfaction. Sometimes I don't want to eat the contents because they look so pretty. I have a mania for jars at home. In fact I even fill them with ribbons and buttons for an added seasonal decoration but filling them with treats in the kitchen is what I like to do.

I received a gorgeous jar from Gift Cookie and not only is it a super useful Kilner Jar but it is engraved too. It says Happy Homebird loves sweeties. How cute is that!?!
You can have the engraving done on 4 lines with a maximum of 15 characters on each and this is all bored by a row of little hearts. I absolutely love it and it would make such a fantastic gift for a foodie lover or just a pretty decoration in the home. Mine is filled with good old colourful Party Rings at the moment.

Towards the end of summer though with my glut of courgettes from the allotment, I am going to do some pickling or maybe some chutney (great recipe here for a spicy one) and will be using this jar to store one of my creations which will be perfect for some summer goodness on a winter's day.
The jar is 15.5cm tall and 11cm wide so a good size to hold plenty of treats. It has a clip top and a rubber seal which keeps the contents fresh - you could use for storing dry foods like flour and lentils too or a huge jar of homemade jam! Kilner jars are such great quality and a personalised one is a big thumbs up from me. The engraving on my jar was perfect and I am honestly really pleased with my special jar.

The jar costs £14.99 with your choice of personalisation and standard delivery is £2.95 (free for orders over £30). There are other jars too available from Gift Cookie and they make a great retro feel gift. Gift Cookie sell lots of other personalised items too from wedding gifts, new baby presents and items just because you love someone. I think my mum would love one of the jars and she would no doubt fill it with pink sweets.
**I was sent an  Engraved Small Hearts Glass Kilner Clip Top Jar for the purpose of the review. Words are my own honest opinion**
