Granny chic

Eclectic

I didn't always like vintage and the word made me think of stinky cheese or smelly charity shops. You would find me solely ordering items from the Next Directory but then I bought a Victorian house and my fascination for all things old started.

Now I love the charity shops, auctions, antique emporiums, car boot sales and junk shops.
I relish any family hand me downs.

I hope you like the small snippet of vintage odds and ends from my home.

Me too, I love things that have a story behind them. My OH calls it junk, I call it treasure. :0)

I love that you used to be a Next girlie and now you love vintage. I'm just planning a vintage themed nursery for my little girl - so exciting, wish I had a big old house to fill with treasures!

I'm the same, I love having a dig around charity shops and the like, searching for unwanted preloved items!

I too thought similar regarding Vintage - not necssarily 'Stinky cheese' but along those lines...

Odd isn't it!!??!

Love the fireplace its really gorgeous.

I think even when I was a child I had an interest in the past, particularly the victorian age. I really have no idea why. But as I got to my teen years and a little beyond I guess it was all about fitting in, and second hand back then didnt.

I am not one for clothes in CS's (That is just me but never say absolutely never!) But don't mind a rummage now for books and trinkets. Its funny how we change or go back to old interests.

Oh how lovely all those things are. I am now in a situation where I can have all the lovely vintage inherited and found things all out on display.

Oh wow, are all those items from your own house? How amazing. I used to have one of those chocolate mugs too.

Wow, lovely collection. Did you take these pictures yourself? Do you own all these items?
I am not keen on vintage, but I must admit it is awesome.

I'm glad there is a lot of love for the Cadbury's mug - I bought two of them for £5 at a school carboot sale last year.

Yes, these are all my items. My house is a bit of an Aladdins cave.
