I often look out for Girl Guide items especially from the Brownies and have a collection of badges that I plan to turn into a little piece of art for my growing home stairway gallery.

This post reminded me of being a brownie aged 9. Back then the uniform was a horrible brown cotton tea type dress with a woolly brown bobble hat. I'm sure the uniform is much more fashionable these days!
I was a bobbled hatted Brownie and have a mug just like this except for Brownies. I was also a Girl Guide, a Ranger and even had a stint at being a Brownie leader (I was Tawny Owl). Guiding will always have a special place in my heart.
Gosh I was a brownie way back, I didn't know there moto how great.
Loving the memories of the brownies. I never was one as I was scared & shy - the thought of the games petrified me.
