Minor compared to other people across the country especially those with gardens submerged under several feet of water but the storm did its bit to our garden last night. What on earth is going on with the weather!
Annoying fence panels have smashed so I need to take the dogs out on leads into the garden now for fear of them escaping. Little Billy the terrier you just could not be sure of him just running and running, although he loves his home very much. He'd hear a jingle of a cat bell and zoom that would be it and we live on quite a busy road.

The panels have all been damaged before and DB has done his best patching them up but now I think it is time to get the whole lot done. Arghhhh! The cost, the cost! No idea how much it will be but I'm sure its not cheap.
Quick something to cheer me up. A pretty Azalea bud all pinky and lovely and a pussy willow, such a beauty. Thankfully the willow is coming back to life after taking a bashing whilst doing some garden work. My all time favourite, the primrose, a cheery yellow to brighten my dull garden.
Oh and hello neighbour to the right! Another fence panel so I'll have to get in touch with the landlord of next door about that one. We have fixed this several times as because this house is rented, the people that come and go haven't really bothered too much over the years. I do hope somebody settles here one day.
My plastic greenhouse is in tatters too. Oh well, they really are a waste of money to be honest and I won't buy again as every year I end up replacing them and their covers. I just want spring to be here now so we can all get out and start tidying whilst Little Bird plays and has some garden fun.
Were you hit by last nights storm? or even worse, far worse been effected by the floods. My heart really goes out to you xxx

Oh no, so sorry for your garden :( The fence next door blew down AGAIN in the storms, I'm just hoping they fix it soonish as we spent all last summer without one and I wasn't a fan of being able to see into their garden for 4 months!!
oh no..... so sorry. good to hear you are all safe though. but it is always heartbreaking and always expensive. on a happy note, lots of spring showing through :)
I love pussy willow... one of the first signs that spring is near. So sorry your garden walls were so damaged. I hope you can get them repaired.
It's quite scary isn't it. I feel very fortunate we have not had it anywhere near as bad as others. Glad you escaped any major disasters.
hope you get all the damaged fixed in time before all the colour pops out it really is awful isnt it

ARHG I hit send too soon! - what I was going to say, until my mac went all crazy nanas on me is that although an expense it's nice to now not have to worry every time it's windy, or watch the fence swaying in the breeze.
We had a pop up greenhouse too once upon a time - it only lasted a year the poxy thing. What we need is a blog reader with a couple of nice wooden greenhouses to donate them to us ;) *looks about and winks at rich gardeners*

Goodness me!! It has been quite the experience recently. Our garden is similar to yours, I have given up trying to mend things until the storm is gone. Beautiful photos xx

Oh no sorry to hear about the damage. Yes I've seen lots of submerged gardens, and one set of houses I'm sure they can't even get out. Hope it all settles down pretty soon now.
What a shame and how horrid for you! Our back garden looks similar - in fact our next door neighbours decided not to replace their panel a few weeks back, because they thought more storms might hit. They were very sensible! If you wanted to, you could walk down half our street through the back gardens, because most of the panels have gone....
I am glad you are all safe but so sorry that you the cost and inconvenience of having to repair the damage. We have been lucky so far and only have a couple of roads closed nearby due to floods. Thank you for the beautiful picture of the pussy willow,it is my absolute favourite and we don't have any in our garden so I have been reminded that I need to change that. I hope you can get back to normal soon and that the sun does shine eventually.
Crikey! We've been really lucky and nothing has been damaged. I hope you get it all sorted quickly and easily!
Oh gosh I'm so sorry, that's such a shame. You're right though it could be a lot worse and at least you still have your sense of humour. We had a length of fence come down a few weeks ago and it's just been replaced. You'll have that to look forward to. There is nothing better than a new fence concreted in that doesn't flap like a giant wooden bird x
I can totally sympathise! Our garden looks the same, we've had to replace fence panels 3 times in the last few weeks, and I think we're going to have to do it again in a few days. The kids outdoor furniture is smashed, one of their ride on toys is smashed and the trampoline net ripped off and blew away AND one of the metal poles of the trampoline has bent.... yes... the wind has actually BENT METAL. Oh how I love living in England!
Oh blimey, that is a lot of damage. I hope you manage to sort it all out and that the weather calms down where you are :(
We had our fence panels replaced a couple of years ago and thankfully they are still standing. Worth getting a few quotes and getting them done properly - you never know the neighbours may share the costs too

We have lots of little holes in our fences, we really ought to do something about it - but think that it's going to be a massive job/expensive.

oh dear, what a pain! like you say it could have been worse, but it's not ideal… a couple of our fence panels came down in the last storm… we picked up new ones for £20 each, so as long as the uprights are still ok hopefully it won't cost too much to put it right. It is crazy weather though... the wind was so strong last night, the storm flap in our bedroom fireplace was clanging all night! x
Feeling for you today, the winds last night were the worst yet here and we have a few mends to do. The bud on the Azalea looks gorgeous, so full of promise. I hope you haven't had any more damage.
