It is Roald Dahl day today! It would have been his 95th birthday.
I love his books so much, especially George's Marvellous Medicine.

I read his books as a child with both fear and thrill with their delicious rudeness and sometimes ghastly characters.
I was scared to look out of my window at night for years in case the BFG might be peering in.....

Which Roald Dahl book was your favourite? There are some great Roald Dahl themed party ideas here. You could also make a gruesome feast from one of the Roald Dahl recipe books - Nishnobblers anyone?

How funny my eldest has just found the joy in reading a good RD book. There was a bit of a deal on in a supermarket when we were away on holiday. She just devoured them! Absolutely loves them.
My favourite must be The Fantastic Mr. Fox. Very funny.

My son isbabout to do a RD school play Red Ridding Hood.
I love Roald. I really loved reading Boy as it was so intresting seeing how much inspiration he got from his childhood.
I also hate it when his books get made into movies as I never think they are anywhere near as good as the books.
Wonderful magical photos!
Fabulous photos as usual - I have only seen his films - Danny Champion of the World is my favourite (I think that was a RD one).
Georges Marvellous medicine is great, I love it the first time I read it. I can remember making a list of all the ingredients... Roald Dahl had a fantastic imagination
I really liked Witches.
Fantastic Mr Fox - love Bogus, Bunce and Been, always makes me snort with glee! I also think the illustrations have become iconic.
