The giant Queens meet in Chester

Queen longest reignTo celebrate Queen Elizabeth II becoming the longest reigning monarch in British history, a record surpassing that of Queen Victoria, my nearest city Chester put on an unusual display.

A giant 12 foot tall Queen Elizabeth II met a giant Queen Victoria at Chester's Eastgate and passed over the longest reign title. Queen Victoria did not look amused at all about this change in record at all.

Walking. Colour. Snapping. A place I love, London's South Bank and a great place for some street photography with many arty pieces dotted around and colourful walkways.

The horse and foal by the church

Country church horse and foal black and white horses

Walking to a little country church and there by the side in a paddock was a beautiful horse and foal. Now I know little about horses, I haven't ridden one since having lessons as a child but I like them and feel a tenderness towards them and their big brown eyes.

A gentle soul came over for a nuzzle and we looked at each other before I had to carry on my journey. I thought she looked a little thin which bothered me but then she had a foal so maybe she was leaner from feeding her little one.

Sweet, wonderful horses and I hope to see them again in the autumn when I pass by there again.

Good food and a game

tomato rissotto My Nana is 91 this year and has been a widow for about 50 years, so aside from close family being around to visit she can get quite lonely and always appreciates a phone call or coming over to see us. Nan has lots of tales about her life and never fails to make me laugh. She has made me very value elderly people and when I am out and about I will always make time to smile or chat with the older generation should the opportunity arise.

Holiday craft #BostikBloggers

Bostik Bloggers summer Time for some crafting and this time the theme is holidays. We may have just had the summer holidays but in fact we are yet to go on ours as we go right at the very end of summer so soon! With home educating we are able to go when it is quiet and most other children are back at school.
