Gulls

Sea gulls
Such a cheeky bird. I love them for their sheer bolshiness.
For their attempts to pinch your ice cream cone and their confident strut towards you.

Giving you the beady eyes whilst you eat yours

Herring Gull

Two herring gulls
Bless the Herring Gull, the noisy thug with the menacing beak but endearing and the seaside wouldn't be the same without you.

  11. I felt really relaxed reading this post! The pergola is my favourite area, do post a photo when it's full of climbers and clematis :) The Anemone coronaria are really beautiful, love that vibrant red.

  12. They must put so much work in to get the gardens looking so neat and well cared for. If it looks this good in May it must be spectacular in the next few months.

  17. Lovely images. I adore those Anenomes. I wonder if they are tricky to grow. We have a naughty dog too, but I've been amazed and the abuse the plants can take and still survive. Happy Planting!

You are so right - gulls are a touch menacing but no trip to the beach would be complete without them. When we were at the beach recently on our hols we chucked a chip to the one gull that was nearby and within seconds there were loads of them there demanding food.

Many thanks for joining in with #AnimalTales
